Noodle Acquires Lore, a Groundbreaking Social Learning Management System
Big news at Noodle today - we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve acquired Lore, a modern social learning management system with a vibrant community spanning hundreds of institutions.
This groundbreaking system offers teachers the ability to turn their class into an online community, with easy-to-use, socially-adept tools for posting assignments, updates and syllabi. Lore has taken a user-first approach to building a world-class product that is both simple and enriching. Both Noodle and Lore will remain completely free to the user.
“Lore is already the best learning management system; fleshed out with a full suite of assessment, synchronous, and mobile tools, it will be an important part of our efforts,” said John Katzman, Noodle Founder and Chairman. “Further, its community shares our core values: to get each student the educational resources that best connect to his or her passions and needs, and then get out of the way.”
Lore’s CEO is pretty excited as well - “I couldn’t be happier about Lore’s future with Noodle. We share the same dream to improve how people learn in the Internet age, and the combination of Lore and Noodle will change the face of modern-day learning,” said Joseph Cohen, CEO of Lore.
